Luis Miguel García holds a degree in English Studies and in Translation and Interpreting, as well as a Master’s in Secondary Education Teaching, Vocational Training, and Language Teaching. His English proficiency is certified at the C2 level. His teaching career spans diverse educational contexts, including secondary schools, vocational training centers, language academies, and corporate training environments. Currently, he teaches English at the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas Pamplona (EOIP), instructing A2 and C2.2 levels. Previously, he taught at IES Basoko (Pamplona), preparing students for exams and enhancing their academic English skills. Luis Miguel has extensive experience mentoring students and teachers. He has guided students in secondary and vocational education settings and served as a Master’s Thesis Advisor for the Master’s in Bilingual Education at the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, supporting students in completing their final projects on bilingual education. He has also taught at other language schools, including EOIT (Tudela) and EOIDNA (Navarra), covering levels from beginner to advanced and assisting students with official exam preparation. His professional experience extends to teaching Business English in corporate environments and specialized language training at the Academia de Policía Local in Madrid. Mentoring is central to his teaching philosophy. He has supervised practice students at schools such as IES Basoko (Pamplona) and Colegio Las Fuentes (La Rioja), providing feedback, guidance in classroom management, and advice on lesson planning and teaching strategies. Additionally, through the ASUR project (Universidad de La Rioja), he supported students across various degree programs in improving their English language skills. Luis Miguel has contributed to professional development in language education through publications and conferences. He authored Temario de oposiciones inglés, a study guide for English language exams in law enforcement, and published the article “Do I have to learn this? By when?” in the journal Castildelenguas, reflecting his interest in language acquisition and teaching methodology. He has delivered workshops and training sessions for both students and educators, including Pronunciation Tips for B1 and B2 Levels (EOI Logroño), Fonética inglesa para niveles B2, C1 y C2, and workshops for bilingual teachers at CRIE (Centro Riojano de Innovación Educativa). Luis Miguel’s international experience includes working as an au pair in the USA and England and as an equestrian instructor in Weybourne, England, enriching his understanding of teaching English in immersive, real-world contexts. He has also mentored students abroad in Malta, Dublin, and Bournemouth, further broadening his perspective on global language education. Before focusing on education, he gained significant experience in aviation as a Cabin Crew Member and Senior Cabin Crew, honing his communication, leadership, and crisis-management skills—qualities that have greatly informed his teaching and mentoring practices.
