David Elizondo-Martínez received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering and the M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in renewable energies and electrical engineering from the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), in 2017 and 2019, respectively. In 2023, he received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (Cum Laude, international mention) from the same university. While studying the master's degree, he worked on a research project in the INGEPER group at UPNA. After completing his master's thesis in Osnabrück (Germany), he began his doctorate in the INGEPER research group. His Ph.D. was focused on the modeling, design and optimization of power electronics converters for rapid charging of electric vehicles. In 2022, he completed a research stay at the ISEA, RWTH in Aachen (Germany). In 2025, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Power Electronics group at the University of Twente (The Netherlands). Regarding his scientific dissemination profile, he has been participating as lecturer for several years in courses, workshops and exhibitions on renewable energies and electric mobility, and has published in The Conversation España an informative article on fast-charging stations. His research interests are modeling and design of magnetic components, soft-switching of silicon and silicon carbide power semiconductors, resonant converters, and fast charging of electric vehicles.
